Malachi 3:16 (KJV)  Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. 

It was in the land where corruption abounds and evil was allowed to proliferate. This is the backdrop in which this verse was written concerning the response of the few godly in the land.

These few godly in the land had even greater reverence for the LORD, in obeying His stipulated Word in worship and prayer. These also strengthen one another in the faith by their mutual communion. And these also take time to dwell in the Scriptures so LORD’s Person is pre-eminent in their lives.

For these a book of remembrance was written by the LORD in heaven to register their piety in the midst of debauchery. Notable testimonies for God’s people today. Amen.
